What does the property manager have to do?
In Catalonia, Llei 8/2026 (the Catalan asbestos law) asks property managers to make sure the certificate is handed over and to inform owners about grants. We make it easy: one point of contact and information ready for the owners' meeting.
Does the asbestos in the building have to be removed now?
There's no general deadline. 2032 is a European reference target, not a mandatory deadline under Spanish law. If asbestos is identified, the law requires the property to be kept free of these materials.
Who removes the asbestos?
Removal is carried out by personnel registered in the RERA (Spain's register of companies at asbestos risk), with an approved work plan, under our technician's direction. That's what the law requires: only staff of RERA-registered companies (companies authorised to work with asbestos) may handle it. You only ever deal with us.
Are there grants?
In Catalonia, the Catalan Waste Agency (ARC) offers grants per square metre of roof removed, up to €30,000 per property**. In other regions of Spain, we tell you about the grants available.
